Knicks announce five-year deal with new GM Scott Perry

The Knicks and former Kings vice president of basketball operations Scott Perry have agreed to a five-year deal for Perry to become their new GM, the Knicks announced Friday.

The Knicks will send a 2019 second round draft pick and cash considerations to the Kings in exchange for hiring Perry as their GM, reports Sam Amick of USA Today.

“It is an honor to be joining Steve [Mills], Jeff [Hornacek] and the New York Knicks as we begin a new chapter for this beloved franchise,” Perry said in the Knicks’ press release. ”I am excited for this opportunity and the responsibility bestowed upon me.
